In the past I have always had my vehicle serviced at the dealership. Recently I went for an oil change and was informed that I needed both radiator hoses replaced and rear brakes. They were going to replace the brake pads and cut the rotors. I mentioned that I was getting some vibration when braking at higher speeds and was told that was brake vibration. They did not have the radiator hoses in stock so I said that I would get back to them regarding the repairs. I went online to search for local auto repair shops and came across intown auto. I scheduled an appointment online Thanksgiving Day. Mike called back shortly afterwards (yes on Thanksgiving Day) to get some information regarding my vehicle. To make a long story short, I took my car in for the necessary repairs. The diagnosis was different than that of the dealer. My rear brakes were still good for approximately 3 to 6 thousand miles. The radiator hoses did need replacing. However the coolant was leaking from the thermostat housing. The dealer did not disclose that information. Whether or not they missed it, I can only speculate. The dealer told me that my front brakes were fine. Mike at intown said that the front brake pads were fine, but the rotors were warped. That is what was causing the vibration. Had I let the dealer perform the work that was initially recommended I would still have had the brake vibration. Intown auto care does quality work at a reasonable price. Going forward I will have my vehicles serviced at intown auto.
